RIG-FRIENDLY DIRECTIONS to
H. Cooper Black Recreation Area, 279 Sporting Dog Trl, Cheraw, SC 29520

From the West/Charlotte area:
Take I-85 or I-77 to I-485 on the south side of Charlotte. Take Exit 61 (Johnston Rd) onto Hwy 521 south to Lancaster. At Lancaster, take the Hwy 9 Bypass and get on SC 903 (towards McBee) Stay on SC 903 to SC 151. Turn right on SC 151 to McBee, then left on US Hwy 1. It is 15 miles from McBee to Patrick on US 1. Turn right in Patrick onto SC 102 and go 1 mile to fork in road. Bear left at fork on to SC 80. Go 4 miles to entrance to H. Cooper Black and turn left onto sandy road (TT 19). Go 3 miles to Sporting Dog Trl (look for brown street sign) and turn right.

From the West/Atlanta area:
Take I-20E to Exit 98 (US 521, Camden/Sumter) in South Carolina. Turn left onto US 521-North and continue into Camden. In Camden, follow the truck route to US-1 North. Continue on US-1 North through McBee and Patrick. At the intersection of US-1 and Society Hill Road (Juniper Junction), turn right. Continue 5 miles to TT 19 (gravel/sandy road) – you will see H. Cooper Black sign. Turn right onto TT 19; continue for one mile and turn left onto Sporting Dog Trl.

From the East/Florence area:
Take I-95 to Exit 164 (Darlington/Florence) and exit onto US Hwy 52 West. Head west on US 52 for 5 miles, turning left at the stop light to stay on US 52. Continue 19 miles, bearing left in the town of Society Hill to stay on US 52. Go 2.5 miles and bear left at fork in road, following sign for H. Cooper Black. Go 3 miles and turn left at H. Cooper Black sign onto sandy road (TT 19) Continue for one mile and turn left onto Sporting Dog Trl.
